Tips for Finding Affordable Honolulu Hotels
The closer you move toward the Ala Wai Canal and away from Waikiki Beach within Honolulu, the cheaper your hotel will be.
Choosing a room with almost no view of the outdoors at all can save you $100 per night at better hotels. We stayed close to Diamond Head for $99 per night with a partial volcano view room that was nothing special, but we were in the heart of Waikiki!
Book early. Booking at least 6 months in advance can save you a lot of money.
Sign up for price alerts. Being ready to go at a moment’s notice is a great way to save tons of cash when you visit the Hawaiian Islands.
Let’s be honest, the place you choose to stay in Honolulu won’t be memorable and something you brag about when you return home to your friends and tell them about your trip.
The amazing once-in-a-lifetime experiences you have are so much more important.
If you need Honolulu accommodations for travelers on a budget, don’t second-guess it, just book the cheapest place you can find on this list and go enjoy yourself!
